I guess this might be a way to make people buy the dlcs if they really care about having 100% completion on their game. Not sure if this has been posted before but I feel like the base games should have a separate achievement section of the add on achievements. So for example, in order to get the platinum trophy you would only really need to do the base games achievements.īut steam doesn’t do this and even if you 100% a game when it comes out that will get screwed over if they ever release a new dlc for the game with new achievements as that will knock down your 100% progress. And coming from PlayStation a few years back I remember that they had the original games achievements separate from any achievements that you would get from the dlc. Even the achievements for the dlcs factor into the 100% achievement. The thing is that all achievements are clumped into one section.
So ive recently caught an interest in getting all of the achievements in my games but I have run into some frustrating design choices that affects the availability of certain achievements.
